When you want to change your windows 7 desktop background theme, all you need to do is to right click on the desktop and select personalize. You are free to use beautiful themes that comes directly from Microsoft.
To be sincere with you, I am a great fan of Windows 7 desktop background themes, it is just unique and spectacular. However, I love doing things my way. A lot of students will rather have their stunning pictures to appear as the desktop background than the crafty arts from Microsoft.
In this blog post, I will share with you on how you can create your own stunning windows 7 desktop background theme. It is very easy, so let’s get it done…
Create a Folder with your Pictures.
I have created my own folder with the name CustomizedBackground. Inside the folders, I added all my personal pictures I would like to use as my desktop background.
Create your Theme.
To create your own windows 7 desktop background theme, right click on the desktop and select personalize.
A Personalization window will appear for you. Click on Desktop backgrounds.
When you click on browse, browse to the folder we created on the desktop and click on it. Remember, that by now you must have added the images you would like to use as your desktop background in that folder.
Once you click on the folder, the images inside the folder will be populated inside the Desktop background area. Check and uncheck those images you don’t want to use and click on save changes.
Once you save changes, you have created a new desktop background theme for your laptop or PC.
You will see the theme appear in the midst of other windows themes but now it is not yet saved.
Save your theme and start using it. You can choose not to save it, it does not stop you from using the new theme. If you want to save the time, select the theme and click on the save theme at right side of the “mythemes” window. Or you can right click on the theme and click on save theme.
