Saving money is a vital necessity, and we cannot simply live without it. We can create wealth by learning how to manage our resources better. Or should we rather sit back and attribute our shortcomings to our environment? In this note, I will share with you how to acquire wealth through savings.
Know yourself and your Capabilities:
The first bold step is to discipline oneself and become meek above others. Understand yourself, capabilities and limitations. If you only do things because others do the same thing without first thinking of your financial position, it is a better way to become a beggar.
"For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself." (Galatians 6:3). Spend wisely and save earnestly, and acquiring wealth will be inevitable.
Save before Spending:
The power of positive attitude should not be underestimated, so try and develop one! When you eventually develop a positive habit in your life, like saying your morning prayers, doing exercise before going out of your house; it is worth more than a million dollars, believe me.
I recommend that you develop the habit of saving your money first and program the left over for spending-in a good way though. Don't ever spend all your money and save the left over.
Believe me, next time it is either you have spent all the money or you go ahead to spend the left over that you saved. Saving money before spending is the fundamental way of acquiring wealth through savings.
Don't ever think that Wealth is measured by how much you Earn:
More than 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ warned us about covetousness. "Take heed, and beware of covetousness. For a man’s life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses. “(Luke 12:15). A lot of people believe that they are poor because they are lowly paid or their parents died without leaving any resources behind for them.
It may be true that you are lowly paid or your parents died without leaving anything behind for you but whatever the case may be, don't ever let it define you! I assure you that they don't define you, rather they are there to embarrass you. Just say to yourself that you refuse to be defined by your surroundings and then focus on the big picture. If you can think it, you can achieve it!
Michael Dell, when I read that he started the Dell Company when he was a student with just a thousand dollars, I couldn't believe my eyes.
You can agree with me that there are students with him whose parents is rich and can afford to give their children more than a thousand dollars for allowances. But what happened?
A man's life consists not in the abundance of the things he have. Don’t ever belittle yourself or thinking that you can’t make it because you are born in a less privileged family. All that counts is for you to believe in yourself and have vision that you will succeed in life.
Michael Dell was able to start a global company with just a thousand dollars, an amount so small that it is not up to some people weekly feeding allowance. You can also do the same if only you can think of what to do today and start making savings towards it.
In life, we need to caught our clothes according to our sizes, make sure that we save wisely and most important of all create a picture of the future in our heart. Everybody is capable of becoming whatever he or she thinks he can be!
